Garden Suburb Junior School

Boccia Tournament

Garden Suburb Junior School have taken part in a boccia tournament held at Burnt Oak Leisure Centre.

This was the school's first inter-school competition of the academic year and the first time entering the sport. The boccia team competed against 17 other schools and competed well to finish in fifth place. Boccia, a game similar to bowls, involves competitors taking it in turns to propel leather balls – coloured red or blue – as close as they can to a white target ball, or jack. Well done to everyone who took part.
