Garden Suburb Junior School

Marble Run Fun!

As part of our Science Week, each class worked in groups to try to solve the marble run challenge.

The CLEAPSS 'Marble Run' activity challenges children to build a structure, no taller than one metre, that will keep a marble in motion for the longest period.

All of the classes collected their recycling and with the help of some insulation tubing and a lot of tape, the groups got to work. The children had to work together to try out their different ideas and respond to what was working and what wasn't. It's definitely harder than it looks as the longest marble journey in the school was just five seconds!
