Local MP Mike Freer visits Year 4
On Monday morning, Year 4 were lucky enough to welcome local MP Mike Freer to our school. Mr Freer gave a talk to the pupils in Year 4 about what his job entails as an MP and what he does day to day. He spoke about splitting his time between his constituency and parliament and all of the travelling he does. He also presented the children with the ‘red briefcase’ and talked about the history of the briefcase and what it is used for. The children found it very heavy as it is lined with lead and wood.
