Alyth Visit Year 3
On Thursday, guests from Alyth Synagogue visited Year 3 to teach us more about Judaism as part of our RE curriculum. The children looked at photographs of the synagogue and discussed the significance of important parts of the building like the stained glass windows, drawing comparisons across different places of worship. They also looked at Jewish artefacts like the a Torah scroll and a menorah, deepening the understanding of the significance of religion in the lives of others – individually, communally and cross-culturally.
